HOLLA MY DUUUUDES!!!

como andan (how is it going) (:  I hope that your week was the best ever and that you all are enjoying everything like I am!!!  It´s starting to actually feel like spring.  the sun is out.  There are little toy story clouds in the sky.  The birds are singing.  I DON´T HAVE TO WEAR A COAT!!! (for the most part).  guys I am LOVING it.  my feet already have tan lines from my shoes let´s gooooo ;P

Hermana Linde and I had a super packed week prepping everything for the weekend.  we went to a zone conference in Necochea (and i saw practically all of my ex comps), then we went to 3 arroyos (name of a town) for the capilla abierta, then to azul (name of another town) in the middle of the night cuz of bus things, then we went to olavarria  (name of another town) for the capacitacion (training) on sunday!!!

In all the insanity, we forgot one very important thing: MY PENDRIVE (thumbdrive) (for the capilla abierta).  aaaand i didn´t think it would be a huge deal.

but guys.

it was a huge deal.

our life, everything we do, all the tools that we need, the music for the event, the presentacion (presentation) for the capacitacion (training), lo que sea, ESTA DENTRO DE ESTE PENDRIVE (and whatever else we needed was in the thumbdrive).  we basically spent the weekend freestyling the capilla abierta.

and it actually worked out okay (:  but we´re never going to do it again.  ever.

I realized how important it is to be organized and to communicate myself better with my comp and with others.  we finished the event SOOO much more tired than usual (the straight mob of children under 6 years old running around and screaming for 3 hours without end may have contributed {me quedo sin deseos de tener hijos jamás}) (left me with no desire to ever have children) and i finished only wanting to go lock myself in a room alone and pray a lil bit.

just remember that you can do everything you put your mind to!!!!  with organizacion y preparacion primero!! (organization and preparation first)

lol hola my doooods!!! I was tryna think of a catchy thing that had to do with the word "whole" cuuuuz WE HAD THE WHOLE WEEK IN OUR OWN AREA!!! and that hasn´t happened in SO LONG.  hahaha it´s weird cuz the ward thinks that their missionaries are inactive... lol whoops.

BUT this week was mega fun!! we got to meet some amazing people and have a blast while doing it.  we swung by the house of a lady we met a couple weeks ago and she let us in, sat us down, (even though her house was CRAZY with all her little children and she´s a single mom) and told us that she let us visit her this time because she felt something super different the last time we saw her.  MY DUDES IT WAS SO COOL.  when we prayed before we left, she prayed that everything would work out so we could visit her and teach her this next week because she felt that God put us there on purpose to help her out.  it was amazing.

also, 

we have a new friend se llama agustina and she came to church the first time ever this sunday, and when we stopped by to say hey in the tarde, she told us that after leaving the meeting in the morning she has felt so light and has been on the verge of laughing all day cuz she feels so good (: it was so cute.  SHE IS AMAZING!!!

weird story of the week,

there are a bunch of hippies who live down the street from us and when we were walking home, one

of them, se llama sabina, stopped us and told us "i love you.  i want us to all be friends" In ingles!!! and went off about how we all need to be friends in the world and support each other.  all in english.  it was extremely bizarre buuut i´m down with it.  let´s all be friends!

HEY MY DOODZ!!!!

okay, so i´m just gonna start this week off by telling you about how we had the most amazing capilla abierta (open chapel/open house) ever in the history of ever of bahia blanca. (i´m pretty sure idk really but for me, it was the most amazing.)

WE HAD A TOTAL OF 75 PEOPLE ASSIST THIS EVENT AND WE GOT 39 REFERENCIAS!!!!!

like what.  we blew that stuff OUTTA THE WATER.  i´m super stoked about it.  like my dudes.  no hay palabras.

it´s amazing when you get everyone working together and making it all work out well!!!  I love when the barrio (ward) gets stoked about the same things we do.  guys.  i´m still so stoked about it.  We´re gonna make it happen again.  I´m praying about it lol

Okay... y ahora mis quejas....

so, as the privileged hermanas from capilla abierta we have the joy of being able to travel and stay in all the houses of the mission and sleep in their nicely kept colchones and blankets and use their bathrooms that they all wash so dearly for us... NOT.

MY DUDES.

it´s bad.

i´ve come to learn that a lot of hermanas are "high maintenance".  to a point.  Like, they whine about the shower drain and how it´s clogged but they´ll die before taking out the nasty hairball that inhabits the deep dark under. (i was the same before, but by fuerza [aka hnas who never touch the animal of the abyss] i´ve changed and accepted my adult responsibility to take care of my house.)

like, please.  if you want your house to be nice and not covered in mold and not have to shower yourself while standing in a pool of standing water and then return to a bed full of bed bites with blankets that are stiffer than steel because no one ever cleans them, be an adult and keep your things nice.

i´m done ranting. but guys.  don´t be nasty.  and PLEASE don´t be this type of "high maintenance".

but the gospel is true.

This week we were "a full" (a phrase that the people of argentina use on the reg) with all the crazy capilla abierta stuff and teaching the new and improved hna how to do the whole cap abi thang, AND HNA LINDE IS KILLING IT!!!!  guys, i was mega mega nervous to have to teach this whole thing and be the captain of this ship BUT linde is a giant blessing and she´s helping me more than i could have ever hoped for.  bless that young soul.

just a few datos (details) of this week: (some awesome, some not so much)

1. my camera is lost and gone forever along with the 1300 fotos that were contained inside.

2. many of these fotos were of chubbier syd from the mission and i no longer have to share those with all of you upon my return (; lolol

3. in our weekend, we spent 77 hours outside of our area, and 29.5 of those were in colectivo

4. the peso is now up to 40 to the dollar (!!!)

bueno, this week my big lesson was finding Paz en Cristo (peace in Christ).

You guys who are the jóvenes (youth) of the church saben (know) that the theme of this year is to find peace in christ.  and my dudes, it´s super awesome true.  like la verdad it´s true.  It´s been weird to have to work through all the insane-ness that is collaborating with everyone and their specific needs and desires and quirks (along with my own, and you all know i have like 800000), and in the middle of all this craziness, somehow taking a step back, breathing, and finding that peace makes it all possible.

My dudes, i´m a super disorganized nut job who can´t keep her thoughts straight, but somehow in the middle of all the madness i´m blessed with the calm and tranquilidad (tranquility) that i need to be able to take care of everything.  when we take a step back and let the things that aren´t in our control go, it´s amazing to see the results.  I´m a hot mess, but with the peace that i find in the gospel, i can make it through (;
