So, this week actually went by super super quickly and it´s weirding me out. idk how it manages to do this every week, but they fly by. you´re probably tired of hearing it, but it´s happening and it´s so so so weird!!!

Sooooo, i consumed my first eggplant this week and that was cool i guess.  Also, campu and i made a blanket fort cuz it´s actually cooling down here just enough so we studied in that a liil bit and i´m also basically living in my hoodie just cuz i can (;

I learned from an investigator that aliens are real.  crop circles are legit.  the south american indians have documented flying saucers in pictographs and petroglyphs and whatever else (someone do some research and update me if this is legit cuuuz if so you already know i´m abouta buy some foil and get my head cover happening.)

rant: I love my shoes.  i have these super super comfy awesome chaco walking shoes and they rock.  except they have carefully planned out how to get the costumers to buy new ones: the laces bust.  so was bouta switch the laces from some of my other shoes cuz they´re starting to wear but they wear in different places so it´s okay! but in the process of pulling out the laces, they broke.  and the chacos are savage and it´s not a simple thing to lace or unlace the shoe.  so i got creative and it took me a while.  (i´m still in the middle of the process with my other shoe lol we´ll see how it goes.)

also, we painted the plan of salvation in front of the church and it´s pretty neat! except the members started tryna roast us on how it "invites graffitti" buuuut our boi the branch prezie hasn´t chastized us soooo the members can step off lol. people (randos in the streets) have been telling us about how awesome it is sooo i´m feeling very unrepentant.

A little later than usual peroooo (but), está bien (it's good).  lol i realise the title sounds a little dramatic, but it 100% isnt don´t stress (;

so, something that i still havent got the hang of is the fact that the humor is completely different here.  I´ve laughed at myself a loooot this week cuz i just get into werid situations cuz i try to make a funny like i would in the states, buuuuut the poeople here just don´t get it lol.  at least i have a yanky comp to help me out a bit. we´re the best peanut gallery there could ever be (:

The next funny story/ very uncomfortable realization iiissss:

"macho."

as commonly known in the states, macho means buff, swol, yolked, etc.  so! when some guy told me here that his name (nickname) is macho, i walk like, "alright!" and have been enthusiatically calling this man "macho" for months now.  I´ll see him while we´re out and about in the streets and he´ll be in his car and i´ll yell, "eeyyy macho! como anda!!" and he´ll be like, "eyyy, sher! como estás!"

for months i have been doing this my dudes.  it´s a good thing to be friendly.

except when it´s not actually that great.

i learned from a member yesterday that "macho" actually means to say "pimp." as in the man who sells women...

I´ve been running around TL for MONTHS yelling out something that definitely doesn´t mean what i thought it meant.

*FACEPALM*

you recieving this letter (or another blog instalment: catch me @hermanahyer.blogspot.com lol tell ur franz) means that I have 7 days less in argentina than last week!! I´m freaked cuz time is flying but lol i still have a ways to go so you won´t catch me trunky for anything other than snow.  I ACTUALLY SAW A REAL LIFE PICTURE OF SNOWBIRD in a store the other day and didn´t cry 2 tears.  I actually cried 3.  bahaa chiste, ya gir hasn´t shed NADA in tina just yet.  Heartless and proud, leggo.

so these are some lessons that tina´s thrown my way as of l8(late):

1) i live in the octopus´s garden.  When it gets all stormy here and cools down a bit (heart eyes) the clouds make it look like we´re j chillin underneath the ocean!! I love it super much. bahah also the climate is savage so when it´s all humid and hot you get the delightful sensation that you´ve just jumped out of the ocean: soaking wet and sticky hot and all of that jazzzz. but i dig lol

2) the children that haven´t spawned from satanás (satan) are actually the best here.  we got swarmed by a pack of little wild animals and they loved US (as in nosotros (us) and as in the great USA).  it was way cool to hang out with them cuz they were just pure happiness and it made my day better (:

also, i showed them a 20$ and they went and showed their parents who told me it´s fake sooo someone plz explain how this counterfeit 20 dollar bill has been in my scriptures for 7 months and no one´s told me til now?? it´s obvio que la gente acá conocen mi plata mejor que yo(that the people here know my money better than me) lol (i´m not salty about it lol someone just tell me my american money is cool.)

moral: the fakes here are wayyy better than in the states.-

Hola yomies! Bienvenidos a mi carta semenal(welcome to my weekly letter)!  big WARM welcome! there are some pretty HOT updates comin ur way from this SIZZLING semana(week)!

lol, you get it.  it´s hot here. baha but it´s actually super awesome cuz we´ve started like 40 times just by saying, "hace calor!" or making some joke about how it´s super cold and i forgot my coat. (literally never gets old i´ve said the same thing like 500 times and without fail the people give me a pity-laugh)

alsooooo thx for all the birfday wishes (; i rly appreciate it!! You all are super amazing and thx a billion!

We celebrated the last pday with veggie sushi and braided hippy hair cuz i´ma freak like that lol.  on the actual day nada mucho pasó (not much happened) cuz none of the members remembered bahaha but it´s okay cuz i´ve heard too many scary stories from people eating so much they puke on their birthday.  IT DIDNT HAPPEN WITH ME blessed.
